Under state law, the board decided, Tippmann remains a resident of Perry Township because he intends to return there. “I’d love to be back in the house where I’ve put blood, sweat and tears.” “I’m desperate to get back to my garden,” he told the board. ![]() The tenants of his Willow Wind house have a lease that expires July 31, and Tippmann said he still has furniture at his former residence and the utilities there remain in his name. ![]() Tippmann is still living on Lake, but assured the board Tuesday he still intends to move back. ![]() At the time, he said the family planned to move back as soon as January 2019. As The News-Sentinel first reported last year, Tippmann said the move was needed to make it easier for his non-driving young daughter to attend ballet class in Fort Wayne. In a 2-1 party-line vote the board rejected challenges filed by David Roach and Gina Burgess claiming Tippmann should be removed from the City Council ballot because late last year he moved his family from its Perry Township house on Willow Wind Trail into a home on Lake Avenue. ![]()
